O-1B Approval for Illustrator from India
We recently received an approval for an O-1B extraordinary ability visa for an Illustrator who is an Indian national. Congratulations to our client!
Our client had recently completed her B.F.A. and was working during her OPT. We were able to demonstrate that she met the criteria for O-1B classification, including through illustrations published for news articles, illustrations published and to be published in children’s books, recognition from illustration competitions, and testimonial letters from other illustrators in the field. It was approved without a request for evidence.
I have represented many illustrators for O-1B visas, most of whom were in their OPT period after completing a bachelor level degree in the arts. An O-1B visa requires achievements, but it is very possible to be granted one, even for younger artists, so long as you have obtained certain achievements. Don’t hesitate to reach out for a comprehensive consultation so that we can discuss where you are right now in your journey and what to focus on to improve your chances for obtaining an O-1B visa in the future.
