O-1B Approval for Fashion Designer from Japan

We recently received an O-1B change of status approval for a Fashion Designer from Japan. Congratulations to our client!

Our client was completing her OPT period after having graduated from school the year prior. We were able to demonstrate that in that year of OPT she met the criteria for a fashion designer of extraordinary ability in the arts through her work experience with distinguished fashion houses, the publication of her own fashion designs on influencers, and other achievements. Our client had a full-time job but also wanted to work on her own fashion line; the petition was submitted as an agent structure which permits her to take on this additional employment.

If you are a fashion designer, whether professional for several years and recently graduated from university, let’s talk to see how you might meet the O-1B criteria. Feel free to reach out for a consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
