Two O-1B Approvals for Video & Multimedia Artists from India
We recently received approvals on two O-1B petitions for a video and multimedia artist team from India. Congratulations to our clients!
Although the beneficiaries work together on all projects, two separate O-1B petitions were needed to prove the extraordinary ability of each artist. The O-1B does not permit filing for multiple beneficiaries with one petition. Rather, we concurrently filed two separate but substantially similar O-1B petitions. While the same agent represented both beneficiaries, separate agent agreements were entered into. We also obtained separate advisory opinions for each beneficiary and provided a memorandum of line outlining each separate beneficiary’s qualifications for O-1B status. The case was approved via premium processing without a request for evidence.
If you are part of an artistic team and wish to continue working together in the United States, don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss whether the O-1B visa may be a good choice for your team’s goals. I can be reached at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
