Spousal Green Card Approval for Chef from Colombia

We recently received an approval of a spousal based green card for a Chef from Colombia. Congratulations to our clients.

The beneficiary lawfully entered the United States and overstayed her tourist visa. Since she later married a US citizen, she was eligible to adjust status in the United States because unlawful presence and unauthorized work are forgiven in most cases if someone lawfully enters the United States and then adjusts either through a US citizen spouse, parent (if the beneficiary is under 21), or child (if the petitioner is over 21). This case took approximately one year to adjudicate and it was approved without an interview.
