Removal of Conditions Approval for South African National
We recently received an approval of an I-751 removal of conditions based upon a joint filing for a South African national. Congratulations to our client!
I had intially represented the beneficiary’s husband in his own naturalization process. After obtaining U.S. citizenship, he married his long term beneficiary partner from South Africa and we were successful in obtaining him a conditional green card. If you have been married for less than two years when you are granted permanent resident (a green card), it is for a conditional period of two years at which time you need to submit an I-751 removal of conditions to again demonstrate that you had a bona fide marriage. Now that the removal of conditions has been approved, the beneficiary has a 10-year renewable green card.
I have more than a decade of experience representing families in the U.S. immigration system. Don’t hesitate to reach out for a consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
