O-1B Approval for Photographer from Kazakhstan

We recently received an approval on an O-1B extraordinary ability petition for a photographer from Kazakhstan. Congratulations to our client!

Our client was a recent college graduate who had one-year of work experience during her OPT period. Although she only had one year of work, we were still able to demonstrate that she met the criteria required for O-1B classification. She had been published in various periodicals, had an exhibition of her work both in the USA and in Kazakhstan, had strong testimonial letters from other distinguished photographers, and had played critical roles at post-production studios doing photo retouching, color correcting, and printing. Although we received a request for additional evidence (RFE), we were able to provide a strong response and the petition was approved about one week after our response. Do not panic if you get an RFE on an O-1 petition; think of it as an opportunity to clarify and supplement the record. Many petitions are approved after responding to an RFE.

If you are a photographer and are interested in pursuing an O-1B visa, do not hesitate to contact me. I have successfully represented numerous photographers. I can be reached directly at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
