O-1B Approval for Fashion Designer from Turkey
We recently received an O-1B extraordinary ability visa approval for a Fashion Designer who is a Turkish national. Congratulations to our client!
Our client had completed her undergraduate degree in Fashion at a University in the United States, worked on her OPT, and then continued working on CPT through a related Master Degree level program. We were able to use her achievements earned during both OPT and CPT to demonstrate she meets the criteria for extraordinary ability, including her critical role at her full-time design position, her lead on distinguished productions (she had been commissioned to design clothing for a well-known musician’s music video and tour & also played a lead on a New York Fashion Week show), press from some of these productions, and significant recognition for her achievements in the form of testimonial letters from other Designers in the field. It was approved without a request for evidence.
I have represented many fashion designers obtain O-1B status, many of whom were applying after their OPT period. If you’d like to learn more, please email me to set up a comprehensive consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
