O-1B Approval for Fashion Designer from India

We recently received an O-1B extraordinary ability approval for a Fashion Designer who is an Indian national. Congratulations to our client!

The beneficiary had a full-time position with a fashion house who had registered for the H-1B lottery but was not selected for it. She then decided to pursue an O-1B but structured it as an agent petition so that she could also continue her own freelance projects & also do contract work with other fashion houses. We initially submitted the petition regular processing, but due to increased delays in O adjudications, we upgraded to premium processing to prevent a lengthy lapse in work authorization. Upon upgrading, it was approved six business days later without a request for evidence.
