Spousal Green Card Approval for Jamaican National
We recently received an approval on a green card petition for a Jamaican national petitioned by his U.S. citizen spouse. Congratulations to our client!
I initially began working with the client in 2020 when I began representing him on an affirmative application for asylum to the USCIS. Because of how USCIS schedules appointments for asylum interviews, he still has not yet been scheduled for an appointment. During these years, he met and married his current spouse, and therefore we applied for an adjustment of status. It is fine to have a pending application for asylum while also applying for an adjustment of status based on another classification The case was approved in approximately 7 months and there was no interview.
I have more than a decade representing mixed status couples navigate the U.S. immigration laws. Don’t hesitate to reach out for a consultation at amir@rasoulpourlaw.com.
